Attorney Profile

Richard C. Bruder, B.A., J.D., LLM in Taxation, the founder of Enterprise Law Partners, PLLC, is a business attorney with over 25 years experience representing entrepreneurs and investors. He specializes in corporate financial transactions, including traditional bank financing, mezzanine lending, venture capital, seed and start-up financing, mergers and acquisitions.

Richard currently serves as counsel for Plymouth Venture Partners I, LLC (a $20 million early stage investment fund), Main Street Investors (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and The Frankel Fund, (University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Venture Capital Fund). In addition, he currently serves as a member of an advisory board for PATCO, Inc., a third generation family owned business.

Richard is a member of The Michigan Venture Capital Association, The Association for Corporate Growth, Small Business Institute, Inc. of the State Bar of Michigan, The Attorneys for Family Held Enterprises and the State Bar of Michigan. As a member of the faculty of the Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Richard has lectured on angel investing. He has served as an adjunct professor of business at Madonna College and has lectured at the National Business Institute.

Richard holds a Master's Degree in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School (1985) and a Juris Doctor Degree (magna cum laude), also from Wayne State (1981). He received a BA degree in Economics from The University of Michigan, Honor's College (1978).

The enthusiastic, knowledged based approach Richard brings to his practice is evident in his personal life. An experienced, instrument rated pilot, he has recently taken up fly-fishing, or as he describes it, "river standing." Richard lives in Bloomfield Township with his wife and their two dogs.
