Advisory Boards
What are the three key issues facing your business today? Who do you turn to to help you address these issues? Your spouse? Your trusted friends? Your golf buddy? And when do you ever have the time to focus on your business when you are working non-stop in the business?
Working with you (and, in some cases, your key managers), ELP can create an Advisory Board, composed of four to six members, including other successful (non-competing) business people. Members contribute their insight and expertise in finance, marketing and management at quarterly Advisory Board meetings. Each meeting follows a structured agenda that focuses on your front burner issues.
Examples include:
- Developing a strategic plan for your business
- Optimizing your management structure
- Creating a succession plan
- Creating a compensation plan
- Focusing on what business you are in and what business you should be in
- "Running the numbers" (how are you performing financially this quarter compared to last quarter and - more importantly - why?)
- Focusing on issues you choose
